Today marks a day, a historical day. A person with so much dedication, affliction to the country in some way was brought down by his own aids, friends and the very person that brought him up to where he is. Can you imagine, what its like to select your leader, and then when in the battle field, you not only leave him standing alone in the middle without any support but friendly firing from your end as well. Well, some can say that this is normal and it happens with it everywhere.Since Abdullah Badawi took stand as the fifth Malaysia Prime Minister he battled out three things.
1) He promised to battled down corruption. Lots of public figure was arrested to this, and lots of people applauds to his battle. But some how a rather this has disturbed certain parties and individ
ual.2)He has advocated an interpretation of Islam known as Islam Hadhari, which advocates the intercompatibility between Islam and economic and technological development.
3)His administration has also been emphasising a revival of the Malaysian agricultural sector.
The above was what gave him a landslide victory in 2004 taking 198 seats out of 220 seats. The win also includes taking back Terrangganu and caming close to taking PAS stronghold Kelantan. The victory was widely regarded as an approval of his vision and battle towards anti - coruption.
What made Abdullan Badawi or known as Pak Lah a great man, was his determination to focus on internal security after the increase of corruptive parties in the law enforcment for example. He even give Anti- Corruption agencies more power which made easier for public to reveal corrupted parties and agencies.

By implementing this, he might have disturbed certain parties, or individual dislike him or the start of his downfall. To make things worst as an UMNO leader, when the time came for Malaysia 9th Plan, he decided to take further action not to pursue the strategies of Mahathir. He decided to generate grwoth through innovation and creativity, but by foreign investment, government contracts, and privatization. He was also heavily criticize for a sudden height or Petrol price in his administration. Abdullah was even more under pressure when he wont the 12th General Election with a reduced majority and loosing out four more states. Allthough it was the party (Barisan Nasional) that lost that day, he faced politcal crisis asking him to resign not only from the opposition but its also coming within his party. The son of the former premier, Mukhriz Mahathir, has openly called for him to step down. To add salt in it Mahathir Mohamad himself decides to leave UMNO where he serves the party 22 years. Today rumours say he will rejoin back the party.
Well, i would just want to show my gratitude and thank you for your contribution to the nation. It was a hard battle fought without support from you own party. May you now enjoy the rest of you life with family members, children, and grand children.
